Hello Head-Fi community. Etymotic is getting ready to launch the new EVO, and asked for my help to organize a world tour!!

The EVO represents several “firsts” for Etymotic:

• First multi-driver IEM
• First Stainless Steel body
• First concha-locked fit

We are looking to run in parallel tours in North America, Europe and Asia.

The rules for Head-Fi members who would like to participate:

• Tour members should post impressions / review on Head-Fi. You can post written and/or video reviews elsewhere, too!
• Each member must cover the cost of tracked shipping to the next member in their region.
• Tour members will need to provide their full name, address, email and phone number for purposes of the tour. Those will not be published, but each member will receive the info of the 1 person he needs to ship the EVO next.
• Tour members are granted up to 7 days for the testing and audition of the EVO. After which, they need to ship them on to the next member on the tour, along with all the accessories.
• Tour members need to post in this thread when the earphones are received and when shipped to the next person. I will maintain a summary (without the personal info) in the 2nd post of this thread.
• There is no requirement to post a positive review. We are asking for your honest feedback.
• Please post your impressions / review within 1 week after you ship the EVO to the next person.

The game plan:

• The tour will include 4 review units: 2 in North America, 1 in Europe and 1 in Asia.
• Each review unit will have 4 or 5 reviewers total.
• Reviewers for each region will be selected by me and/or Etymotic.
• Last reviewer for each tour unit (randomly selected within the group) gets to keep the EVO

* I'll be using a Chord Mojo / headphone out from my laptop. I imagine these are going to be easy to drive.

I owned in the past: ER4S, ER4SR (twice), ER2SE

The best way to review the unit in Russia (and I can say that we have an army of Ety fans here) is to ship the unit to your distributor in Russia and let reviewers pick up the unit at your distributor. This is how it usually works with ifi audio.
