I just saw it on your site. Do you have pics of it you can post?

I've really been interested in a great hands free set.

My favorite was a Sony "Whisp" ear, but the voice kept cutting out on two different ones.

Similar to the filters in ER•4 and ER•6 earphones, the ETY•COM has a filter that smoothes the frequency response and prevents earwax from entering the earphone. The filter is located at the end of the headset and is visible when the eartip is removed. A dirty filter will reduce or block the headset output and should be changed if the volume decreases or the sound quality declines.

Todd, which filters do the ETY-COM use? ER4's ER6's? Totally different? If totally different, can you get them, and how much would they cost?

Boy, my phones' volume output is pretty high (even at the lowest setting), so volume control is often necessary, unless the impedance of the ETY-COM is pretty high.

Got a response from Etymotics:

Which Ear pieces and filters does the ETY-COM use?
The ER-4 Eartip comes standard on the ETY-COM.
Also an ER-20 Eartip is an accessory along with 2 modified ER-20 Eartips.
The filter is the same as the ER-6 Isolator Earphones.

Are they the same as ER-4 or ER-6 series earphones?
The ER-4 Eartip comes standard / attached on the ETY-COM.
Several ER-6 customers have used the ER-6 Eartips on the ETY-COM headset.

What's the impedance of the ETY-COM?
The impedance is 32 Ohms @ 1kHz.

Does the ETY-COM have an in-line volume control?
Sorry, the ETY-COM relies on the volume settings from the phone.

32ohms looks good to me, it's not super efficient like some really cheap ear bud hands free ones. They are too loud for me, even with my phone's lowest volume setting. I use a Sanyo 8100.
