You're in luck!

http://www.headphones.com.au/product.html has the Etymotic ER-6 Isolator for AU$279. The best bit is free delivery!

I'm sure they would have a return policy if you don't like them. Just email them and ask them.

If you live in Perth it's a bonus! Since their company is based in perth you can pay them in cash, otherwise it's direct deposit only.

Anyway, all the details are on their website so check it out.

Are these it?

I foubd i got a better seal with the plastic tips not the foam ones. Good isolation but lacking in bass. They don't sound like premium earbuds. But I appreciate not hearing cars/trains etc.

No I have been using them with an IPOD. Just straight out of the ipod. I got them due to size. A seperate amp kinda defeats the purpose. But I'll give it a try when I have some free time.

I will probably sell my A8's and upgrade to the ER-6. I have brought that up on another thread. http://www4.head-fi.org/forums/showt...&postid=266758

I'll have to listen to the er6's before I decide on whether they are good or not. I know I'll need an amp to realize it's full potential, but can't afford one yet. Should I buy the er6's now and the amp later or wait until I can afford both at the same time?
