yo these headphones have the green pod right?why did they update them with the black barrels instead of red and blue?any other differences between the 2?is there a place where i can buy the old ones,brand new? aight thanks, if not ill resort to used ones.

They did. Because they look nicer (to some). No differences. Dunno.


I like the all black myself, but I can see why some like the red/blues (easier to figure out which side is which).

the only other difference is that the newer black ones have a twisted cable pair...which helps reduce the microphonics.

No, the older version has a twisted cable as well.

yeah, ive done alot of research and some people(ilounge) say is that the cable arent twisted on the older version but any pics that i've seen have that twisted cable.

they show a picture of the actual pod(the green "barrel" in the old version)..........the newer models have a smaller pod

i would love toi have the older version as well, for they are not as "boring" as the newer one.

AFAIK R&B ER-4Ps are no longer available brand new. Both old and new cable suffer microphonics, I like the new, braided one better because it's not as stiff.
