Hi

I have been toying with the idea of upgradding my portable rig, which currently consits of ETY-6 , airhead and I -river CD.

The UE -10 seem a bit out of price range, so I have decided to uppgrade to the ETY's 4s or maybe the 4p w conversion cable.

? Will there be a sonic difference between the 4p used with the s conversion cable when compared to a straight out 4-s. Oddly my best price searches have reulted in a similar price point ($10 diff) for the 4p w cable and the 4-s.

I will probably treat myself to the 5/20/05 re-release of the headroom Coda/overture, so I am primarily concerned about sound quality, however the thought of using a shuufle straight out to the 4-ps is appealing.

Thank you in advance !

Thanks

I will be using it with the air head and then the coda / overture combo. It is nice to have the option of using it without an amp. If sound quality is not saccificed in the least bit, the 4p and cable combo for the same price seems the way to go.
