Scary experience:

Just the other day i pulled out my etys er-4s, albeit rather quickly, and then suddenly I get a bit of shock. Oh god, what's happened to my hearing in my right ear??? Can't hear a damn thing...

The triple-flange tip had slipped off the IEM, and got stuck in my ear. They were in too deep to get them out with my fingers, so I had to find tweezers...

I think, that the tips must have lost their elasticity and that I should probably change them rather urgently.

I bet you freaked right out when that happened?
I know I would...

Good thing you had some tweezers handy!

I had exactly the same experience happen to me.

I was travelling on a train and it S**T the life out of me.

I had to embark from the train at the nearest possible station and find a chemist where I purchased a pair of tweezers and finally managed to pull the the tip from deep within my ear canal.

Not a nice experience let me tell you, ever since then I have never worn IEM's.

ya, it's funny. i've had etys for years now and never had the problem. and yes, i did panic, which is about the last thing you should do when it's rather important that you don't turn a bad situation into a critical one...

If you'd been using FULL-SIZE HEADPHONES you might not have had that problem.

Just saying. Since this is the full-size forum.
