So I'm going away for a year, in which I won't really have access to computers. I'm going to bring one iPod classic for my lossless music, and one for kicking back and watching some tv shows. Just wanted some input on shows to get into. So far I've already seen the office, 30 rock, always sunny, how I met your mother, Seinfeld, friends, and mad men. I lean mainly toward comedies, although a drama here and there is fine too. I'm only interested in recent stuff (no 70's or 80's stuff.) some movie suggestions would be great too.

Firefly. One one hand it's less than a season due to Fox canceling it... on the other ahnd this means you can own the entire series plus the movie for not too much.

Indeed it is a great show, but it breaks his silly "only recent stuff" rule.

But if you insist, Six Feet Under and Carnivàle is good.

As for comedies, Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm or Green Wing?
