Stymie, seeing as you are now in Phily, I doubt you caught, "The Postcard Bandit"?

Basically the life of Brendan Abbott.

No I haven't seen that one - I recall hearing something about it though. Is it worth a look?

Yeah, that is a quirky kind of movie - Noah Taylor played the lead from memory, but I don't recall hugh Jackman being in it. Ooops...I'm thinking of something else altogether - "The Nostradamus Kid" - maybe I haven't seen "That Paperback Hero" afterall!

Yes it is. The lead is that guy from The Dish - the nerdy guy who scored with the chick who couldn't drive...sorry, but their names escape me at 0314...

BTW, have you seen The Dish? I liked it, but I doubt anyone but Aussies would find it funny.

"The Dish" is another funny classic - although I think it fell victim of it's own hype to a certain extent. With the Rob Sitch and Co writing and directing, a lot of people - including myself - expected it to be a riot. While it was indeed funny, the humour was a lot more subtle - but definately worthy of consideration! Actually, I am sure if I watched it again, I would pick-up on a lot of jokes that I missed the first time around.

As for "The Paperback Hero" - nope, I haven't seen that one, but I should: Claudia Karvan....puuurrrrrrrr

Hopefully, you will get a real kick out of The Castle - just keep in mind that some Australians (but not all

) are like that. I sometimes wonder what the rest of the world thinks of us!

I did get a real kick out of The Castle. Lots of chuckles and a few LOL moments. What a terrific cast...Michael Caton was superb and it was nice to see Anthony Simcoe out of his Ka D'Argo makeup.

The mother's crafting hobby was hilarious...I have family like this here in the US. (a bit of it in me too. I'm afraid)

Thanks for the suggestion...Lantana arrived today so that's on tonight's double-bill with Unbreakable.
