ER6: Wow!

I just got my ER6s in the mail today (from nm2285, thanks Nick) and I was blown away. I had just gotten back from a friend's recording studio and listened to some CDs on Genelec studio monitors (some of the best out there) and I was amazed how similar the headphones were to what I had just heard. Obviously you're missing some of the soundstage, and I'm sure you pick up more detail on the ER4, but seriously, I would not be afraid to do a mix on these headphones. And to think I only paid 55 bucks. Etymotic really isn't lying when they say the ER6 have a 90 percent accurate frequency response.

Anyways thanks for all the good reviews and advice on this forum. I come hear to look around a lot but don't really post, but I may be hooked now.

I'm interested in getting some ER6s. Where did you get them for only $55. The cheapest I can find them for is around $80.

Congrates - They were my first set of decent earphones. They still get a lot of use and continue to entertain without fail.

They were my first pair as well. Going from stock headphones to Etys was... an experience. The level of detail was astounding to me, especially on good recordings. That's the only thing I really miss about them compared to my Super.fi 5Pros.
