er6 vs er6i

What are the differences between the er6 and er6i? Which one would be better for use with my Iriver H140?

I'm a newbie and this is my first post so please go easy on me.

the "i" usually stands for improved. my friend said he really liked them, nice present bass, a little punchy and very clear sound. but dont take my post too seriously as ive never heard them myself.

I've heard that the er6i has better bass by a small margin. Also, President Bush uses er6i.

6i is more sensitive, designed to work better with portables->no need for an external headphone amp.
6i has 8dB more (almost twice) as much bass and midrange->less thin sounding (which is a common complain of the 6)

the 6is are so much better. They have some bass,(unlike the 6s), and better sound IMO.

I've never heard the original 6, but the 6i's bass is "good enough" for my tastes, and I'm used to closed cans that have very punchy lows. As long as the source is good, the 6i should be solid. Listen to "Revolution" (Beatles) and "High and Dry" (Radiohead) and tell me that the 6i lacks bass.

The bass on the 6i is accurate, not overwhelming.
