er6 vs er6i

the "i" usually stands for improved. my friend said he really liked them, nice present bass, a little punchy and very clear sound. but dont take my post too seriously as ive never heard them myself.

6i is more sensitive, designed to work better with portables->no need for an external headphone amp.
6i has 8dB more (almost twice) as much bass and midrange->less thin sounding (which is a common complain of the 6)

I've never heard the original 6, but the 6i's bass is "good enough" for my tastes, and I'm used to closed cans that have very punchy lows. As long as the source is good, the 6i should be solid. Listen to "Revolution" (Beatles) and "High and Dry" (Radiohead) and tell me that the 6i lacks bass.

The bass on the 6i is accurate, not overwhelming.
