Sorry if I'm covering old ground here...

I was wondering as far as sound quality goes, how these sound compared to each other. I've read the 250-80 vs HD280 reviews, but I haven't seen too much on closed cans versus the ER6.

Isolation is nice, but I was more interested in the pure sound quality.

As for as sound quality goes, I think I would choose dt250-80 over the senn.. it has wider frequency range and thus gives each instrument a clear and wider space.. also .. I feel that though beyer is a bit on the darker side.. the senns seems to be overly bright... at least when compared to my previous eh2270 too...

I got a chance to try the senn 590 which to me is very good(lightweight), and the sounds is quite ok on my portable. Haven't got a chance to audiotion the hd600 though..
