I may be purchasing a set of ER6 (or ER6i) to pair with my Sony D-NE300 pcdp, and didn't know if anyone else had tried this combo before and can share their findings.
I used some HD280 Pro's with the D-NE300 when I first bought it, and thought it was a great combo-- the parametric EQ allowed me to dial in some serious, non-boomy, low end (not mid-bass thump). I could also dial in some of that real papery/whispy high end for more detail without harshness.
I'm hoping that the ER6/D-NE300 would be a good match, since the ER6 seems like the in-ear equivalent of the HD280 (really good, deep low end, albeit not prominent in the mix, not much mid-bass wallop, and good clean highs).
Can anyone confirm?
