ER-4S with Tomahawk?

I was using my tomahawk with my Koss A250s last night and I noticed that at high volumes they were distorting. I was pretty sure it wouldn't have been the phones and sure enough this morning with my Cute Beyond no distortion at high volume.

Does this mean the Tomahawk is struggling a little to drive them? Its not a huge issue because the distortion was at higher levels than I would listen anyway. But what will that mean for using Ety ER-4S with the tomahawk, they are 100 ohm but the A250 are only 60 Ohm?

I can't imagine that the Tomahawk would have any problems with the ER4-S. I find that the A250 is harder to drive than the ER4-S.

When you say high volume do you mean past 3 0'clock on the volume dial?

When i had my tomahawk anywhere past this used to produce a lot of distortion with most of my headphones especially the HD650.

High gain and up around 3 o'clock yes.

same with mine so I just use it on low gain.

Its not a problem, I don't really use the tomahawk with the A25os as I have a Cute Beyond at home (which I am constantly amazed by). I was more worried that it would be a problem with ER-4S, but apparently not.

Hi gain up around 3 o clock? Wasnt that really really loud? Should have no trouble driving the ER4s though
