I use a small plastic food box (i.e. generic tupperware). It is ~3x3x1 inches. Works great, solid and safe.

I find that the pouch that came with the ER-4's is perfect!

I am with the camp that the case is too big. But then again I put only the stems in it.

thanks! I'll make sure to wrap it like that from now on it looks better and safer. I just to wind it like rope around two fingers putting so much pressure on wires. It would then turn bulky and damage my stems.
