Equation RP-21 with Beyer pads

Got my Beyer pleather pads in the mail today any slapped them on.

The comfort has increased incredibly. however, the bass is now extremely overpowering. everything sounds boomy and muffled.


Anyone else have a pair of these? I know the velour pads cause no bass at all, so i figured going with pleather would be safe since it should be generally the same as the stock ones.

Maybe the distance from the ear increasing has something to do with it.

Did you do the foam replace as well? Also, how new are your RP-21s? The bass does settle a bit after some time.

I'm hoping my bass settles down some too. Right out of the box, they didn't have this problem. After a day of use or so, the bass got muddy and a bit overpowering. Not much burn-in though. 15 hours.
