I couldn't find a thread to discuss this new DAC in so here it is.

I already have a Sabre ESS ES9023 based DIY USB DAC and I'm very happy with it so I have high hopes for this one.

Meh - I polled a hundred people outside Central railway station in Brisbane, and they expressed absolutely zero anticipation for the ODAC. Go figure.

I know, I read that. I still wish it was open source.

Ok.  I still thought that it was worth mentioning for anyone else who comes across this thread and hadn't read everything that Voldemort has written about it.

It would be nice if companies would stop acting like those silly NDAs will be anything more than a minor speed bump against any competitor trying to figure out their stuff.

got mine on pre-order.

Going with the stand alone version from JDS so it can pair with my O2 as a portable setup for my Laptop when vacationing.
Will post impressions when i receive it.

Camping with LCD2's is gonna be sweet :D

I'd be stunned if you even knew where Brisbane was without Google Maps. Its amazing how easily we can hide 1.5 million people in this vast country

PS  grev, I thought you would be back in HK by now ? Just cant let go of the old Gwailo obsessions, eh ?

ODAC and HRT Music Streamer II seem to be pretty similarly priced. Would be nice to have a review between these two.

Given that I have the MSII and a pre-order for the Epiphany version with Oliver, I look forward to your review.

(btw, my EHP-02 is still going strong, but most of the lettering has worn off the front - just a heads up for anyone who is considering the E-DAC. Same fate befell my Just Audio amp, so maybe its a Brit thing)
