Hey guys, I've looked on the site for awhile, but haven't really gotten a general idea on what the good quality earbuds are. I've seen that earbud comparison thread, but I couldn't find any of the ones listed there anywhere.

So... What would you guys recommend for a nice entry level earbud? Maybe ~20 or something?

Thanks!

Earbud or in-ear earphone (IEM)? Your choices are much wider if you don't confine yourself to conventional (ibud-style) earbuds.

If you really do want an earbud, you can pick up a Sennheiser MX760 off ebay for around $20.

Sorry, but most senn. mx760 being sold on Ebay are fakes, that's why Sennheiser removed this version from their line a long time ago. So the risk is not worth taking. I don't mean to sound arrogant or to discredited anyone, but mx560 or mx500 which to sound much better, if not fake, can still be found on Amazone from reputable sellers.

If you can scrounge up another $18 or so, get a Yuin PK3. You will be amazed with the balance from these earbuds.

IMO though, the PK3s had wiring issues where connectors would come loose. They seem to have reinforced the connection areas now, but Yuin has poorer quality control compared to Sennheiser. I personally received a defective set of Pk3s, where one channel was completely muffled, and my friend's set had a similar problem after a month of light use.

HeadDirect has a 90 day exchange policy I believe, and a 30 day return policy. So if something goes wrong, you have 90 days?

For the price, the mids and highs are simply awesome for earbuds.

Erm, both earbuds and IEMs are fine with me. IEMs feel more comfortable IMO, but it seems the threads I've seen here seem to indicate that their SQ isn't really good in the sub 50 ones.

And thanks, I'll go check out the Yuin.

If you can stretch your budget to $40, there are the Nuforce NE-6s, which many say are the best <$150 IEMs.

20USD is a good price for them right?

Yes, $20 is perfectly fair.
