It's hard to decide which is better. The 1212M seems more detailed and refined, but the Entech seems beefier and cleaner. The Entech really has a digital nastiness to it though, a shrill metallic character in the highs. Instrument seperation is worse on the Entech. But, what it difference it makes to have an external DAC... I have to admit it's more realistic and convincing despite the flaws, but I definately am craving for it to be smooth like my other DAC. I might get a non-os DAC to replace the Entech later.
