I've been using a SA5000 + maxed M3 for the past month and I'm really enjoying this combination. Unfortunatly the SA5000 isn't mine, but I'm trying to decide weather I want to buy an SA5000 or get a CD3000.
Qualities I enjoy about the SA5000 are that it's very detailed and it's quick transient response. Instrument positioning is also done well. What could be improved is the soundstaging, and bass. It certainly has impact, but a bit more bass quantity would be nice.
This setup would be mostly for industrial rock and some metal. Also I intend to upgrade to a PPX3-slam a few months after getting either headphone.
So I'd like to hear some opinions from members that have heard both or own both. Thanks
