I have an oppurtunity to buy some of these for around 200, would it be worth it?

If they are in good shape, I think they're a good deal. On the other hand, you can pick some brand-new Athena Technologies (Energy's sister company) floorstanding speakers from audioadvisor.com for not much more.

Are these pretty good speakers? Would they keep me happy for rock?

I can probably get them for less then 200, they are used.

I have only listened to the older bookshelf version of this speaker, which if I remember correctly was called the xl:s25. Basically, just one tweeter and woofer. Excellent buy at $250/pair new for the bookshelf version. If you can get these for less than $200.00, I think that would qualify as a good buy.

Haha, yea, you would too if you had as little space in your room as I did, I guess I kinda misjudged the space available in my Dorm. I thought they would fit in one little nook, but to my avail, I was incorrect. They sound great, I am not selling them because they are unsatisfactory sound wise to me, I just wish I had the room for them, I would get a couple Insignias for the rear, and with the existing center channel I have it would be a pretty good surround sound setup.

Not to mention I spent the remainder of my money on a gift for my friends birthday, so now I need to sell them to get some money to get me through the rest of the month. It was really stupid on my part, I pretty much bought them on a whim from craigslist, I was planning on waiting a bit, but these kinda fell into my lap.

Anyway, if anyone wants these, please buy them, make me fell better about my mistake.
