I've installed patchmix and emu drivers and left them on default settings as well as foobar2000. My problem is that I've been playing about with most of patchmix's options, but the sound isn't loud enough even at max volume on my Rs-1s. I.e. Usually my ra-1 is at 2 o clock from my cdp, here its flat out and still at a much quieter volume than that. Please someone help me out here and get it back to normal. I think the problem is that I've mis-soldered a tiny cap as 3 fell off in transit from Zemo to me, would this make the op-amps power drop drastically? Here are some pics of the board:

Here's my pic again but with Zemos circles of where the cap may go (its a 16v 10uF one:

HELP!

Hi,

You might want to ask the seller/modder about the caps and send him pics which fell off. That's a priority before setting it up.

You must have patchmix DSP installed. The manual for it is in a PDF on the CD.

I've done that and he circled 4 possible locations.

So I just chose the most likely one and crossed my fingers. I realise I must have patchmix now because the volume controls didn't work without it and like I said there was no sound. The line outs still aren't loud enough for my ra-1 though even with it flat out its just a bit quiet, although I worked out how to stop mp3s clipping.

Ok. Maybe you can post pics of the card and caps here? I know you installed them into the computer already but you must've had pics before that?

Also post pics of your patchmix setup if you can.

Who can host pics for me? I can't attatch without a http host apparently. My patchmix setup is just 44/48 default plus 4db. Its very quiet and then when I reduce mix vol to get rid of clipping its even quieter.

EDIT: Actually, www.imageshack.us is better. No signup involved, and images can be up to 1 MB.

Done! Pics should be resized by me really and I can't get my camera onto a macro mode so they're a bit blurry. Thanks for the link dwin.
