Hi all
I've been looking for a soundcard for my brother and have narrowed it down to these two. I know they have quite a different feature set and are not comparable in that respect, but for reasons I won't bore anyone with, they are the two that have made the short-list.
As the soundcard will be used a lot for basic playback, the quality of the sound (which I guess mainly comes down to the quality of the converters) is quite important.
Has anyone compared the two, had the two, or does anyone have any kind of opinion as to which would have the best sound quality/converters?

PS - although he/we will use the headphone amps on these, I am more concerned with the SQ of the main outputs. That being said, it would also be helpful (and expected, seeing as I'm on Head-Fi) to hear how the headphone amps compare.
