In games, after playing for a while entire channels of audio will cut out. For example, on Splinter Cell echos will go crazy and start over-echoing if that makes sense. In TES Oblivion at some point the weapons stop making sounds, but the music and whatnot still plays.

When I switch to crappy nForce integrated sound everything is just fine.

Any way to get around this? With the nForce I can hear static when I move my mouse

Granted gaming isn't hi-fi but it's annoying.

Run dxdiag and turn down accleration to standard. I had to do the same thing in oblivion.
