LX SE is an attempt to make the OG LX more palatable for those delicate souls who can't handle the real thing. You know, like the gentle little rollercoaster at the fair right next to the real thing that all the big kids get to go on. 😝

Hero is growing so fast on me, I’m really in love, I know I know… till I received a new iem.
Anyway it pairs very well with Shanling M8.
I came back to stock cable (Ares II) and pairs well but I’m pretty sure Hero can scale with a better cable.
I plan to buy EA EVO10.

how does the hero compare to UM Mest MkII for you? Seen many good reviews for the Mest

Just got Spiral Dots++ today and really like them on my LX. Was previously using regular Spiral Dots for that wide soundstage and bass rumble. Spiral Dots keeps the same soundstage, and gives the bass a little more control while very slightly elevating the mids and highs, resulting in a more airy/open presentation of the LX. Will keep this pairing and probably alternative between the regular and ++ Spiral Dots depending on my mood. For LX owners out there, give the ++ a try!
