I really like hero with M8, ikko CTU01 balanced cable and epro horn.
I still prefer SPC OCC cable to pure copper as PWA M2 or SPC graphene penon osg on Hero.
I lent some cables to my fried but I’d try also HanSound Nyx, CEMA Ps and ISN AG8 but I bet Nyx would be my favorite.

Ok, so... If you like the bass of the Hero but are trying to alter something in the mid to treble range with a bunch of things, just go for an LX.

I'd say Odin as well but I would always recommend the Legend X pit stop before the Odin splurge. Very different signatures, both of which best the Hero.

Edit: To clarify, I really liked the Hero but there's no way to deny the LX and Odin are a step up in all regards.

Far Better? No. Better? No. Slightly different? Yes.

LX SE has leaner and tighter bass, a tad more treble and a 3-4db boost in the mid range. This is straight from the man Jack Vang himself.

This is a really great pairing. When I had the Odin I found myself listening more to the LX + Stormbreaker combo than I ever actually listened to the Odin.

I just received the new @Penon Storm cable and it is an absolutely magnificent pairing with the Hero. I’ve been trying to find the best cable pairing for the Hero for a while (as you can see from my signature, I have no shortage of options) but nothing comes close to how perfect the Hero/Storm pairing is.

Is LX SE far better than LX og?

No. The difference is you get upfront mids and more treble. You wont miss much if you dont a/b them. As far as bass. Could be variance on units but my SE bass is right there with the X. The X may have 1-2db more sub-mid bass. For me, it was difficult tell without really paying attention and even then im not sure.

Anyone tried Cp360 with LX, it brings the mids a bit forward and tames the bass a little.
