Yep. I'm enjoying mine. It has more sparkle than does the 1960, and certainly more bass oomph. I may get to the point where I eq that treble bump in the Odin, but so far it only is noticeable on some tracks.

Hi
I really enjoy my Raven with the Sony WM1ZM2 (using Raphael Eletech). And I would like to know your impressions about the synergy of the WM1ZM2 with the Odin, which I have recently acquired. Thanks.

Raven also pairs really well with the SP3000T tube DAP. After having the SP3000T, SP3000, and now iBasso DX320MAX ti. I feel like the iBasso DX320MAX is above the rest in terms of sound quality and characteristics. The dynamics and soundstage are much better in my opinion. It also produces a better 3Dimensional holographic effect with the sound to.my ears. In terms of internal hardware and design the iBasso is better. Then again it's larger case size allows for more components than the SP3000 can fit. Having said that it's size can be a .major turn off to some.it does still fit in my back jeans pocket though.

I just wanted to add that from what I understand the Cayin-n8ii is more in line with the DX320MAX in terms of sound quality. With the DX320MAX being better in some areas while I know the Cayin-n8ii is supposed to have a brighter treble.

I also own the AK SP3K, and I also enjoy it with Raven and especially with the Odin since since I acquired it I have had more time listening with this DAP. I am very satisfied with both iems in the SP3K.

But I am interested in knowing from other users with their experience the synergy between the Odin with the SONY WM1ZM2 (my other DAP) since I have read that it is not as optimal it should.

I have never had any sony DAPs. Just the 3 I listed above. For a Tube DAP I think the SP3000T is really good. It's perfect for anyone wanting a warmer analog sound and that characteristic can be dialed in to your tastes with its hybrid modes and full Tube mode. I haven't had a chance to listen to the Cayin-n8ii. I've heard it's better than the SP3000T, but I can't confirm that or not.

I've always been a fan of Astell&Kern. I have had almost all their DAPs (AK320, AK380/AMP, SP1000/AMP, SP2000 and SP3000). And I will continue to be. I currently have the SP3K.

I have also had the Hiby RS8 and the lotoo-PAW Gold Touch TITANIUM among others.

But from the first time I heard the SONY WM1ZM2 it was love at first sight, to the point of becoming my favorite DAP with a sound signature like the one you describe: a warm and analog sound. I enjoy the Raven with both DAPs. With the recent arrival of the Odin I have had time to test them with the SP3K and I love it, but I have not yet been able to try it in conditions with the SONY (I was waiting for a 2.5 mm to 4.4 mm Adapter). Hence, I would like to know the impressions of other users.

I’m interested as well with peoples impressions with the Sony. Been thinking about picking it up. Glad to know how well it pairs with Raven. Makes me more inclined to get one. :beerchug:

Don't get me wrong. I have always loved portable sony audio products since I was young. I think the flagship sony DAP is excellent and from what I understand it gives more of an analog sound?

I just got the BTR17 in 3 days before official release. A little buggy, but totally worth it for the same price as its predecessor.
Flagship dual ESS portable chips and the new THX modules with lossless BT support.

Just wait for Firmware updates and this is an end game "actually portable" solution. There is of course DAP's and all sorts of convenience compromises we can make. But if you use a phone to stream, easy pick-up.

I loved the Sony DAP, and if you have the non-EU variant, it has enough power to drive any of my IEMs. It has a great tone and a truly satisfying organic warmth. That said, I own the Hiby R8 II, and I love it as well. It is an awesome player at a more economical price point, IMO.
