I held off for 4 1/2 years - except for a PWA 1960 cable at the start of lockdown. Finally got a new AK.

Nanuk 915 or bigger, with foam inserts to cut the size you want… you can also go through a hurricane and the case and IEMs will be safe. Not sure about the Van Nuys.

I was unfamiliar with Van Nuys cases prior to buying the Mason FS, but it was included as part of the package. Thank you for your suggestion, I’ll definitely check it out!

Too big and heavy. You cannot carry that in your back pack for a plane ride. I lived in Florida and got hit by several hurricanes. My IEMs are very safe in the Van Nuys case.

For larger items like tube amps, those Pelican / Sea horse type cases are great because you can check them into baggage easily and they are safe. I would never check my IEM case into an airline.

It’s doable. Save for the i4 B stock and W2 I got this past month I haven’t made any hi-fi purchases for 3 years.

It's absolutely doable, I haven't purchased anything in the past several years except for those DACs, Amps, IEMS, Headphones, cables, tubes and accessories. Absolutely nothing.

Haha! Seriously though, it's quite impossible to stop the chase -- this is tech, after all. But it can be done cleverly and as affordably as any reasonable budget set -- don't need to look further than @aaf evo, 3 IEMS to rule them all, the Lord of the Transducers haha! He's probably heard everything and owned most at one time or another; it's living proof and you can (kinda) have your cake and eat it in this game.

Just for reference… this is a 915. Plenty of space for cutting extra space for a C9 or Max DAP. I will be traveling with it in a couple weeks, let's see if I will throw it away when I get there.

Anyway...just sharing another option.

judging by your collection , you are not one of these broke people so there will be more purchases.

I change IEMs quite often that is why i can not afford to order custom IEMs But I will enjoy these at least until Odin with BC driver, or Trailli with BC driver comes out .. Hopefully they will last until Q3 with this release (fingers crossed)
