That'll melt too
Well it’ll do that!Dry ice doesn’t melt, LOL. It sublimates.
Great review! Please keep us posted as you gain further insights. Tks.
Enjoyed the review! While reviews are subjective by nature, I like the fact that you try to be as fair and objective as possible. This is the mark of a great reviewer!
This is definitely going to my reading list before going to bed.

Congrats, bro!!EE ODIN Founder’s Edition no.090 found a home yesterday in San Dimas, Calif. Purchased from The Source AV in Torrance. Thanks to Alan for excellent customer service. Patient and knowledgeable and no hard-sell approach.
P.S. First post here. Longtime lurker.
You're perfectly right about aftermarket cables. Yesterday I checked synergy with few ones, some coppers form Effect Audio, hybrids and Plusssound silver one. The best result I got with Plussound Exo GPS. The bigest change is connected to treble. It really increases extension and makes them more sparkle. Also bass is reduced, and the sounstage is a little bit wider. Overally I coud say they goes into the Khan direction.., but bass is still much stronger.Alright, so some very very early impressions (bare in mind that I do believe in DD burn in and changes in the sound sig from cable changes). Notes are more like moments that I have taken when listening over the past 2 hours. Note - Comparisons with Solaris SE and Z1R were with Stock cable and Azla Sedna Light tips.
I preferred the other tuning and never used R on Zeus. Obviously, I tried it but realized I appreciated the other tuning more. It is important to understand that with the lower mids and the upper mids which have more elevation, if the centric frequencies of the mids was not slightly pulled back it would have been sensory overload. The tuning is precise. The mids remind me of Zeus due to the transparency, and resolution. The Zeus has immense clarity, ODIN does as well, just a hair below Zeus.very thorough review , one question
when you say the mids are kinda recessed but remind Zeus , would you say they are tuned like the R tuning (the more reference and not so mid-centric) ?
also quantity-wise on a scale of 1-10 , how would you scale lows-mids-highs ?
to get an idea i would give on my Zeus XR something like 6-9(8 on R tuning)-9
