email notification not working?

Ken,

So far so good. I keep getting dozens of email a day letting me know what is being said here. Have you checked you settings under User CP to see which thread you've subscribed to?? Start there and see if there are any. If not try replying to a thread and make sure the option to receive notifications is chekced. If all else fails, email a moderator and seek more help!!

Hope this helps!!

Yeah, make sure to post back and let us know if you're still having problems. I also get the notifications (which of course, by default, I check off) so no problems here. The reason I want to see if you're still having problems is because I can check the MTA (mail transport agent), and lastly the firewall to try to trace any blocking issues that may be arising from your IP block or email address.

Guys, I have a couple of threads I am subscribed to, plus I have email notifications default to 'on'. vBulletin I think automatically subscribes you to threads you have started, as well. I never got any emails about replies to this thread, or any other for that matter. This is the only board I am on that this happens with. Neil, thanks for the note. I will PM you with my email address.

EDIT: I don't seem to have permission to PM. :-/

[/size]I just had the system resend you your activation code. Look for that message at the e-mail address you registered with, and respond accordingly (I believe you have to click on a link). Do this, and your PM function will be activated automatically.

I just got an email now to complete the registration. I could swear that I did that when I initially registered. Weird. But either way, now I can PM. Email works too! I find it curious that I have been posting all along, though. Or is that normal for vBulletin?

Thanks, guys.

Yes, you can, depending on how vbulletin is set up. Here on head-fi, I guess, to use the advanced fuctions, you have to complete registration.
