I just pre-ordered my copy Monday. Been playing the combat demo the last couple days. Though limited it's a lot of fun. Looking forward to next Tuesday when the game launches. I've got my Hotas and pedals at the ready :)

I've been in since the Premium Beta so it's nice to see it finally hit retail.

Been having a blast the last week with the Oculus Rift DK2. Honestly it's hard to go back to a normal screen, especially for combat. It's not perfect (text can still be hard to see, chromatic aberation, noticeable screen door effect) but it really does suck you into the game.

Seriously, if you have a DK2, just grab a copy of Elite Dangerous, it's hands down the best implementation so far.

Agree 10000% on the sound in ED.  I love the fact that you can turn off dynamic compression. A true audiophile was involved in the audio engineering in this game.

Now if we can only get some meaningful multiplayer elements.

The sound design in this game is fantastic.
I turn the music off so I can here every little bit of the ambient audio.

Coupled with a HOTAS and an Oculus Rift you have one of the most immersive games ever.
