Okay I'm sure this has been discussed endlessly, however I can't think of the correct term and doing a search on "cord noise" didn't work.

Recieved a pair of SR-225's today and one side suffers more of this then my SR-80's. When I move my head, the cord slides a tiny bit in the can and makes distracting sounds. It's not the signal or anything, just construction issues.

Anyone?

Yeah, I noticed that. Doesn't bother me too much because my head's pretty still, usually, but I do hear it sometimes.

I'd be reluctant to wrap duct tape around it

...but maybe some "milder" tape would work? They designed it like that because it's much stronger than mounting it in the pass-through (no strain on the wire), so I'd also be careful with attaching it too strongly.

Hmm... make a cotton-puff or fabric buffer, carefully secured in the pass-through? (Don't lose it inside or damage the drivers.)

Hope this helps a bit

fill up the empty space with silicon glue, or just add a tie wrap to the outside, at the place where it goes into the hole.

i would just stuff, very carefully, some cotton around the cable, then push up into the hole.
