I've been spending some quality time with both versions of the "Eletech Prototype" a.k.a. Romeo.

The one on the left (affectionately nicknamed OG), was previewed at CanJam NYC 2024, and it's the one that most of you have heard. The one on the right has been dubbed V2, and it was at CanJam Singapore 2024. I was also able to roll both of them with a bunch of ET cables - as well as try out the new "in-between" sizes of Baroque tips - all exhaustively over the course of the past two weeks. My critical listening ears are so tired and sleepy now.

I'll reserve my impressions for now, as these are going to @Rockwell75 next, and I don't want to influence him with any of my thoughts. However I will say, that while the differences between OG and V2 can clearly be heard and discerned, I honestly can't say which one I liked better. Depending on personal preferences, I can easily see a case being made for either version.

I'm trying to remain calm and reserved about these, but who am I kidding, I'm probably going to pull the trigger on this when it launches - regardless of which one they decide upon.

Raphael for your budget, OTL.as one of the greatest cost-no-object cable synergies I've heard with Xe6.

No, I said it's the best synergy of the cables in your budget (~$600). OTL is better, but also costs 5x as much.

Argh!! Rubbing it in ... I am hoping there may be the option of two versions. Personal preferences aside, I'm optimistic about Romeo and having listened to Eric's cables am in alignment with his preferences.

OTL with XE6 has been acclaimed previously. The bass is tighter, but still textural and impactful. Those kinetic drivers! It's a faint audio memory but OTL should improve the technical aspects, detail and clarity as well as subtly open up that treble and mid tuning slightly. But don't cite me as it's on my "to do" to try the XE6 with OTL again. Raphael is a 'safe' choice but it's not the OTL which as gLer mentions, is significantly more expensive for.

The Airpods and TWS materials is slightly different and TWS / Airpods Pro fits differently compared to IEMs. We currently do not yet have any requests to offer more sizes. We may consider it if the requests are popping up a fair bit

Thank you Eric for that information. Unfortunately with Brexit the UK has essentially become the same for us to import from as the US, China, etc. Maybe delivery time is slightly shorter so I will consider that.
