in development phase.
read that he's aiming to surpass or equal the stax 717 in sound quality.
i asked him how much would the amp cost if it's in production, he said he's aiming to keep the cost at half the price of the stax amp.

This is a text book ESP amp but I'm not so happy about the 12at7 there and the output caps but it could be a good budget amp if it stays under 700$. I can't see what pentodes are used for the last stage so do you have any info on it?

input tube 12ax7
drive tube 12at7
output tube el86

Biggest question is voltage swing, what is the power
supply voltage for the output stage.

The output would be EL86/6cw5 then and not ECL86/6GW8 as the latter is the same combo tube used in the Aristaeus and we would have one extra triode. It's a good tube but not capable of much voltage swing even when compared to the EL84.

here's cut and paste from what mr yang posted. voltage swing is 500v p-p

初步测试:
输出摆幅:500Vp-p
开环放大倍数:1400倍
闭环放大倍数:1000倍
失真度:0.1% (输出100V rms 1KHz)
已经具备开声的条件,明天还要进一步优化调整。

Is this a new prototype of the "soup can" amp we saw pictures of a bit ago? Looks very similar.

minivan, do you have an affiliation with Little Dot? Just curious.

Also no offense intended but that pic of the internals makes me even less likely to ever purchase a Little Dot amp. Where's the attention to layout?
