Can anybody explain to me all those vocab used in opamp world?? I'm thinking of rolling the op-amp in my Rega Ear amp, it uses a single NE5532A by TI. When I look at the specs, I got confused by all those terminolgy. What is slew-rate?? unity gain stable?? IQ per channel?? IIB? CMRR....etc. What should I look out when I'm rolling op-amp?? What is more crucial??

Or does it matters at all, since specs does not reflect the sonic performance??

You want to read "Op Amps for Everyone" by Ron Mancini et al.. (2083 KB PDF) You can just flip to the section on the spec you want to know more about and read that, or you can read through it straight, or any speed in between. You'll get out of it in knowledge what you put into it in time.
