Hi everyone, first of all, sorry for my novice question. My logic says yes you're right but I still can't be sure, so decided to ask away here
I just bought Edifier S880DB bookshelf speakers, they support hi-res audio through optical, coaxial and usb inputs. It also has two more RCA and aux inputs. It has a hi-res DAC (XMOS) in it, so I don't have a problem with connecting my MacBook Pro via USB cable and listening 24bit/192kHz albums.
However, when I want to listen to MQA albums from my LG V30+, I have only one option, which is using the 3.5mm to RCA cable to connect V30 to Edifier. When I do that can I still listen to full MQA quality?
Edifier's internal DAC is great but it can't unfold MQA. However, LG V30+ can unfold and output as analog through the headphone jack.
I hope all this makes sense.
Thank you.
