Hey guys. For a while now, I've been thinking about caving and buying a pair of Ultimate Ears SuperFi 5 Pros. From what I've heard on here and other forums, they really seem like a kick-ass pair of IEMs. I found them on ecost.com for under $200.00, but it says that I have to call for availability because it's not in any of their warehouses. Have any of you bought a pair of these from this site or do you know anyone that has? If so, please let me know what this means about their availability. I'd really like to invest in a pair, as my Shure e2c's are beginning to get annoying with the amount of maintinance they requre (stupid little wax guards) and I'm really looking to get a pair of IEMs that are a step above the rest, but for a semi-reasonable price. Thanks for any help you can give me!

I have purchased from ecost many times and haven't been an issue. They are a total upgrade from the likes of ebay. Yea they aren't as good as amazon but if they have a deal, which they do at times, I don't hesitate.

Chrisfromalbany...I saw that you owned a pair of UE-10's. I'll prolly never be lucky enough to own a pair, but how are they with rock and techno? I'm just curious. Thanks for your advice.

Well this is the write up, I did for headphone.org. Not sure what else I could say. I am in my office right now and they, along with the ipod are all I need. I listening to "50 ways to leave you lover" this morning.

Easy of use, work, walking to parking garbage, working out, driving, and are a high end headphone (HD650s, Rs-1s, SA5000s) in a canal use unit. Pretty damn good.

I find these headphones to be some of the best headphones that are under 1,000 dollars. They have alittle less detail then the SA5000s but more then HD650s. I find there bass extention to be great. There highs are much better then Sens 2x's. I use these headphones more then any other headphone in my collection. Why because they are so easy. Don't really need amp. Use them in the car, for walk, at the gym, at the office, or at home.

They sound is great with any portable device but an amp doesn't change there sound quality much. They are a 13.3 impendence headphone, so amping isn't going to make much of a difference. That is to say there is a small increase in performance.

I agree they are a very neutral headphone and I use 320 AAC songs when using the UE-10s.
