I bought 4 Sprague Vitamin Q capacitors off Ebay. After a lot of troubleshooting my amp build I found that the capacitors were a dead short, read Zero ohms with the DMM. After replacing them the amp worked fine. All four were bad.

Last time I buy capacitors on ebay.

I just bought a lot of 4 Vitamin Q caps off eBay, as well. They are 0.68uf, IIRC - did you get the same thing? I'm still at work, but I'll give them a try with the DMM when I get home.

You guys need to use LA Surplus. Dick Landis stands behind his products. It gets risky when you buy the onesie-twosies, IMHO. There are many of us on the forum who've used his VitQ's - not a bad one, yet.

Do you have a contact for LA Surplus? I ran a few searches and didn't come up with a URL or address. It sounds like he's not too far away from me - I'd love to head out on Saturday and relieve him of some inventory.
