My Airhead just died on me..

So I've got the perfect excuse to buy a new amp.

Found this amp on ebay:

Tube + MOSFET Head Phone Amplifier New In Box

The item up for auction is a Tube + MOSFET HeadPhone Pre Amplifier. HeadPhone pre amplifier is using Electron Tube plus MOSFET circuitry corresponding to input amplification, driver to Hitachi power MOSFET K214/J77, High Current output.
Voltage for Electron tube is supplied from positive and negative voltage in power supply, which can provide excellent performance in symmetry, good dynamic, less distortion and low noise.
R-Type transformer, WIMA bypass capacitor and Philips coupling capacitor, Alps Volume, 6N16B-Q military grade tube used in Russia's Radio Equipment, Gold plate RCA plug with Audiograded signal wire and power line for inside connection.
Not only used for headphone amplifier but also it can use to pre-amplifier and then connect to power amplifier.

Specification of the amplifier:
Frequency: 10Hz-40KHz +/-1 dB
Signal/Noise Ratio: >90dB
Distortion: less than 0.3%
Hum: not measurable (less than 0.1mV)
Weight: 4kg
Output Power: 1W
AC Power: 220-240V/50Hz or 110V-120V/60Hz version
Output impedance: 10-600 ohm
Input Consumption: 50W

Has anyone tried it?
Is it any good?

My other choice may be the Rega Ear, CREEK OBH21 (not SE) or any other amp (2nd hand or otherwise) in the same price range (under £150).

Any opinions welcome.

I use mainly my AKG271 and ocasionally a pair of Beyer DT250 80ohm.
These days I listen mainly to acoustic and rock/metal (fun loving criminals, morphine, Metallica, Distillers, godsmack, chilli peppers, etc).

Thanks

I started up a post about this amp a couple weeks ago, since searching is disabled I can't bring it up. Unfortunently I don't think any Head-Fiers have auditioned one yet. You could always give it a shot and let us know how it turns out

In your pricerange if you want to play it safe a Gilmore Lite would be the best option for your headphones.

There was a thread recently about that amp. Search is off now but I'll post it if I can find it later.

I am sorry...

I only asked about the Gilmore on this thread because it was mentioned.
I posted on the other one, because it was about amps in the UK, so I thought it was in context.
