I'm debating between the Yuin PK2's and Sony MDR-E888LP's, yes I've read the comparison on head-fi, the E888's are said to be better for female vocals and precussion, and the PK2's towards rock/jazz/etc, I listen to house, techno, speedcore, electronica, metal, jazz, orchestral, etc (yeah, so its all over the place), my original inclination was the PK2's based on hearing how good they sound, however I'm thinking the E888's might actually be a better move, since they're probably going to be airy-er [sic]

basically whichever one is going to be closer to either the HD 580's or D2000's (I know those aren't close to each other, but if the PK2's are close to one or the other, or the E888's are close to one or the other, I'll do that, because I like both the 580's and the 2k's, hope that makes sense)

source is likely the Jays Blue Streamer 2, so PK1's are out

Besides E888, I think you should consider RK3 vs. PK2. PK3 is about the same SQ as E888, but comes with a slightly more forward and sweater vocal.
