I am somewhat new to higher end headphones. I have previously owned a pair of Sennheiser CX300's and a pair of over-ear Sennheiser HD485's. I've finally decided that I want an upgrade for school as I always have to turn the volume up on my earphones to drown out external noise on the bus. I was looking at Westones UM1's, UE Super.Fi 5's (standard not E.B or Pro) or the Sennheiser IE6's. Does anyone know anything about the IE6's I can't really find any reviews. Anyways any help is much appreciated for a 'n00b' such as myself thanks again

Might be worth checking out the Denon C700/C751's too.

Superb build quality and great sound within your budget.

The Denons are not designed for over ear cable routing - although, as mentioned you can tun upside down.

Once in the ear I havent noticed a lot of difference in comfort between over ear and straight down cabling to be honest.
