Hello,
I bought a pair of Aiaiai headphones in the following configuration:
H01 - S01 - E04 - C05
After a week of use, I realised that I had made a mistake when I chose the E04 earpads for several reasons.
First off, comfort. I probably have bigger ears than most people, but after extended use my ears start hurting pretty bad. Also, combined with the H01 headband, it just doesn't work. I think the H01 was made for on ear earpads. The over ear ones don't really rest on your head, they get pulled down so you need that extra padding on your headband. Also, they're really hot. If you have sensitive ears, 20 minutes is the maximum sitting I can have before it starts getting uncomfortable.
Second, sound. I was initially looking for isolation, because I work in an office, so I pretty much ignored everything else. The sound is too flat for me. I'm looking for something with a little bit of bass, but also something that is comfortable and good for extended use (5-6 hours) without getting hot.
I'm torn between the E03 velours and the E07 leatherette. Which one would you recommend? The E03 is said to be really comfortable, but lacking the bass of the E07. The E07 is leatherette, it might cause a problem with hot ears.
What do you guys think?
