I am really impressed by how good the QKZ MDR drivers sound in mx500 shells with rivet mod.

Oh wow. That bad huh? And these predated the vido and Iris 2.0(boy we've both came far since the 2.0 days, huh)?
I can see how you might've had high expectations considering the cost. Shoot...I would have. Between the cost and the Yincrow name I would expect something great.

Ok, I was just curious. I wonder how the Rhino stacks up then? I think if I were to go with another Yincrow it would be with the RW-2000. I think I've read that the bass(both sub and mid) are pretty good. If I can ever find one on the cheap in the Classifieds I'd probably pick it up. Although I honestly don't need it considering what was bestowed upon me. :)

Well I really hope you're happy with your incoming RW-3000. I've read nothing but good things about it. Let us know about it after spending some time with it.
Here were some thoughts I posted a while back about the Rhino and RW-2000 / RW-3000.

Besides the TOTL Yincrow buds, I have the Calf and Rhino as well. The Calf need to have high density full foams applied to tame their high end. The Rhino outclass the Calf and would be my recommendation between the two.

Nice. Thank you for the comparisons. That was an informative read. :)

I agree, the Rhino is good fun - if you get the right deal it can be considered a mini-RW. Certainly for casual bud fans it's a very good all rounder that won't break the bank. In the same price band, I'd pick it over VE Master as it's less fatiguing and has more life to it, but not quite as good as BGVP DX6.

Short but concise.... Awesome!

How lovely! What a great community :) glad you're loving the sets!
Hey, I just thought of something. You're always looking for some excellent sounding buds, correct? I don't think you do any DIY, but we have a friend in your neck of the woods that posts here from time to time that may be able to assist you to enjoy the Artiste Nightingale earbuds. Do you think @AsciiJC would be willing to build a set of the Artiste for you? If he's willing to help, you can buy the materials and he can put together the easy Drag-n-Drop build for you. Who knows, maybe he'll like how they sound and even make a set for himself.

To add to this, they may be simple to build, but I can say from first hand experience that there is nothing simple about the sound with these.

Congrats to all three of you on your (up-and-coming) new shiny(s)! :)

I certainly hope you enjoy them as much as I (and others) have. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on them. :)

I want to take a moment to offer another "thank you" to @mt877 for making this build public. You didn't have to do that, and the fact that you did says a lot about the kindness that is a part of your character.

That's so kind of you to build the Artiste buds for those guys and for yourself as well. It will be very nice to get impressions from all three of you. Have fun with the build. You could probably get the 3 sets done in less than an hour, that's how easy they to build.

You're welcome! And thanks to @AsciiJC for volunteering to build 3 sets of the Artiste buds that I'm very proud to release as Drag-n-Drop builds.

Yeah I'm excited! But while I wait for the Artiste Nightingale, here are my impressions of the NiceHCK EBX25Ti, on loan from Ascii!

Source: ifi ZEN stack, ONIX Alpha XL1
Music: jazz, classical, vocals, from Tidal
Foams: TGXEAR stock full foams

Build, fit
- Built like a tank! Lovely metal shells. Stock cable is fabric but not microphonic. The shells + stock cable are quite heavy, so I had to use a cable shirt clip
- Shells are very comfortable. They are more comfortable than stock MX500

Sound
- Summary: EBX52Ti are tuned neutral bright. It has excellent clarity across the whole FR, and mids are front, centre, and stars of the show. Although there isn't much midbass to speak of, there is decent subbass, and the overall low frequencies are high quality albeit low in quantity. It is very detailed and airy. I think it deserves the flagship status of an established company like NiceHCK
- Well-recorded female vocal tracks like The Curse by Agnes Obel, My Same by Adele, Hurt by Youn Sun Nah, all sound sublime with no harshness
- Some female vocal tracks, however, can get hot in the treble
- Male vocals by Nowicaresomemore by Parcels, Hey Gringo by KALEO, sound good, although slightly light noteweight
- Jazz and classical pieces sound very good. Timbre is excellent for most of the FR, although the upper frequencies of brass can sound a tad metallic. Surprisingly, violins sound very realistic, but that might be because violins are a bit metallic (Violin Concerto in D Minor, first movement, by Sibelius, played by Maxim Vengerov; Winter 1 by Max Richter)
- Bass: there is more subbass than midbass. In Goldmine by Kimbra, the intro deep bass notes dig deep, but doesn't have much body. This is excellent quality bass, and I personally find the quantity fine for most of my music. I don't think, however, that EBX25Ti will be good for people who want thick bass (like in TGXEAR SBS)

Technicalities
- This set is highly detailed, and has very good imaging
- Transients and decay are excellent. Drum hits, or any percussive hits (tapping on double bass, güiro strikes), sound fast with quick impact, like a quick thump as opposed to a boom
- Stage: wider than taller/deep. SSBX is taller/deeper but not as wide
