Sorry for the newbie questions, but can someone tell me if the Yinman 600 2.0 is using the same shell as the Dunu Alpha 3? Or are they using different shells so that will have a different fit?

Totally different shells.

Alpha 3 is heavier and longer and bigger, being made of metal. Yinman 600 has a narrower stem and is lighter, and is made of wood.

Thanks a lot, just what I needed to know 🙏
Buy the Yinman that jwilliamhurst has for sale in the classifieds (before I do) - great deal on a great pair of earbuds!
That is exactly why I'm asking, to be honest. Just need to figure out how much tax I'll end up paying for the set, as I'm in the EU.

hello guys, long time not been wondering in this thread....only legit one for earbuds lover...with Earbuds Anonymous group im back in.

Due to ears incident that make me aware of IEMs sound pressure fatigue more, I rediscover my earbuds collection with fresh mind...and those that truely blow my mind was the 2 Qigom i have and didn't listen enough.

OK, i did for the wonderfull White Lotus....but not for this....''unknown'' Qigom, the black one...thaat i buy like 50 cents due to Ali X welcome deal, i do think its was a 5$ or so buds...yet it's like logical upgrade to EMX500, very bassy and punchy warmish W shape with beautifull fowards mids too, very dynamic, dense timbre....very potable imaging though no super crisp airy or holographic its no 1 dimension either...

I try to contact Qigom for more info...yet communication is very bad i think he dont understand english at all...

so if anybody know which model is this black Qigom and where to find them please tell.

Qigom have this berylium DD earbuds that seem super promising cause a well experienced DIY buds maker underline it use one of best DD out there on ALi, this DD sell for 25$...so i was like ok....better buy it ready made then for 35$

So, yeah, im back into best earbuds sound value quest, like with my IEMs quest it's in all price range with highest sound benefit return in each class...should it be a 10$ White Lotus or 100$ NiceHCK EBX, i need to find exceptional ear buds.

Since it make so long i dont dig ear buds universe, which sub-200$ buds really stand out and most be heard to be believe? i can't stand wall of soundd without any sens of minimal imaging or holography, nor bass that distort or is super light thin or super muddy and euphonic...EMX500 was barely too much in that regard for ex.

thank you so much. I've just missed this deal for rw-4000 :frowning2:
Ah, that's too bad. Maybe you'll find a good price + sale discounts on the next big aliexpress sale.

The Dunu Alpha 3 driver cover diameter is 16.52mm, while the Yinman 600 uses a standard 15.4mm driver with a cover diameter of 16.80mm. Maybe the 0.28mm difference + earbud foam will make for a better fit for you.

EDIT: Profile of Yinman vs Dunu. The Yinman shell shown is from Yinman 150, it has the same profile as the Yinman 600. I grabbed 2 product shots and combined them to create the profile picture below.

the black Qigom looks like Qigom S32 model that comes with different colour of housing, and AliExpress now only left the "Carbon Fibre" colour.

While the Qigom S130A probably is a good choice too, I saw a seller on Taobao offer a bundle ES9018K2M dac amp with Qigom S130a.

For me, i currently enjoy Sony NW-A306 + NiceHCK YDX with sponge put on

EQ:
[250Hz -1.0]
[500Hz -1.0]
[8kHz +2.0]
[16kHz +2.0]
DSEE Ultimate: ON
DC Phase Linearizer: ON
Dynamic Normalizer: OFF
Vinyl Processor: OFF

ok nice, i think ill do blind buy of this carbon Qigom and then confirm if its very same.

ugh...16$ usd shipping is no go though...

tbh, Qigom is kinda the worst to make itself popular among earbuds enthusiast. no wonder White Lotus is among best kept secret. and its not even write Qigom on shell...to make it more confusin.

when i communicate with them they underline they are DIY ear buds maker, so i think it's better to just buy the DDs and go our own way. the beryllium DD can be found for as low as 18$ on Ali.

oh a new HCK....its nice that they go detachable cable. ill go check the headfier reviews. i love EB2S.

Amazing, thank you so much for doing this 👍 I don't have access to the product pages on AE, so this is a big help.
With the rings I have on order, and the weight difference, I should be able to make it sit decently in my ears. 🤞

Try them on the Elfinear store. It's the same as Qigom but I think the English is a bit better

Edit: and I've almost bought the white lotus a dozen times in the past 6 months but always get distracted by something else. Elfinear has an mmcx version of them. Think I might have to get those now that I've read someone praise them on here.

Also I recently got these. They're like a better version of the Rosemary imo. The bass is boosted a little and the details in the treble are very good while maintaining warmth. You can run them straight from a mobile source too.

If you do this simple, yet powerful google search trick, then you can see the AE items that could be geo blocked.

Do a google search with these parameters: site:aliexpress.com Yinman

You should see store listings and if you click "Images" link, then you can see images of the earbuds.

You can do the same type of search at other websites. Here's an example to try: site:archive.org amplifier

EDIT: Here's a google search for some earbuds that will not ship to the US for whatever reason: site:aliexpress.com turandot earbud
Under normal circumstances the earbud listings do not appear for US residents, but with this search I can see and open the geo blocked listings, I just can't buy the buds.

The recent comparison I did of the Nobunaga Uguisu (aka Nightingale) vs other earbuds prompted me to see if an excellent DIY "Nightingale" earbud could be built.

I think I've succeeded in that quest, so I present to you my "Artiste" earbuds which I'm sharing with my fellow earbud fiends here as another Drag-n-Drop build.

Artiste.jpg

If you're new to DIY earbuds building / soldering, please click the "Soldering for Earbuds 101 - A Practical Approach" link in my signature. It's easy to build these buds and for the time spent you'll have an excellent sounding set of "Artiste" Nightingale earbuds. These buds have excellent tonality and absolutely no spike in the ear gain region. Also don't be fooled by the bass region in the FR graph, these buds have very good bass. BTW, the FR was measured with HieGi full foams applied to the earbuds and IMO they sound best with those foams.

Build notes: The shells come with black horseshoe tuning foams. You will apply them to the inside of the shell covering the back vents. Here's the important part, the vent closest to the MMCX connector is where you'll start and end applying the foam, leave a small uncovered gap (1mm) at that vent. When snapping on the speaker cover to the shell, be sure to put the voicecoil upwards (opposite the MMCX connector).

Enjoy and if you do build a set of these Artiste buds please share your impressions. I think you will be impressed.

You've talked about this one a few times, so I decided to try it.

They are great! It is the first time I've put some buds together and not wanted to start making adjustments immediately. Balanced, dynamic, detailed. TOTL for sure. Thanks for these!
