The actual in-ear frequency response will depend a lot on your own ear canal, placement of the IEMs, tips used, etc. I would set EQ for a proper balance based on your own perception and not worry so much about laboratory frequency response graphs.

with your eyes.

consider it to be an parametric equalizer. If its a flat line then it wont shape the music at all, which is good for referencing. If it drops down below the rest of the line at one point, then your not going to hear a whole lot of that range, which may or may not be good depending on what sound you like.
