i need to upgrade my music output and i know a few people have successfully installed Emu 404 and Audigy2 together but most have problems. How about Juli@? is it a comparable card to 404 with it inferior DAC?

I have the AZ2 and EMU 0404. No problem here at all do it like this. install the AZ2 first and then put the 0404 in and install the drivers for that and your set. I have never had a problem and have had this setup for over a year.

Juli@ installed with another card works very nicely. Juli@ wins when it comes to non bloated installation / easy to use drivers. Juli@ does bitperfect pcm/ac3 passthroght too. Imho, its overall much better quality than the 0404. ¨

Juli@ drivers are only 170kbytes ! Juli@ is better card than 0404 and its more commonly compared to audiophile 192 and that class of cards which are commonly producing better "realistic" sound than "plasticly" sounding 0404.

I have to say i havent heard / installed 0404 but thats the image i have after reading million differend posts about soundcards Yeah of course i am recommending juli@ because i have one

Sounds like Jul@ is kick a@@ card. Because i can get Emu 404 for about $50 cheaper than Juli@, i needed to know if that extra money is worth the advantage it has over 404. So everyone's consensus is that Juil@ is better than Emu 404?

I wouldn't say superior. It's just a matter of taste. There's also many comments that Juli@ would be better than 0404.
