I'm looking to build a Dynahi amp, the current recommended Power supplies for this are a Condor Part No. HC28-2-A+, available from Allied Electrical.
I live in the UK so my question is that although these power supplies accept UK mains input (240VAC/50Hz), the Condor specification says to derate the current output by 10% for 50Hz operation.
Now as Kevin will only (I'm guessing) have tested the Dynahi with the power supplies fed with 110VAC/60Hz, will the derated power rating of these PSUs be sufficient or do I need to source another PSU ?
Being a linear power supply, I'm assuming that moving upto to a higher rated PSU because of the drop in efficiency associated with 50Hz is going to mean even more heat !
Rgds
