There are a few ways to get around to dyeing them so they don't bleed afterward. One way is to use a plain rit dye and apply the solution of 'retayne', both purchased at the fabric store to hold them in place. I find the work to be kind of a drag in that they are time consuming. The easiest way I think is to use the hair dye. Incidently, my mom runs a hair salon, so I have an easy access to them. One thing for sure about hair dyes is that they'll never bleed once the color has set, unless the foam grows like hairs. But they are unnecessarily expensive at such a small quantity. The best bet is to get a modded+dyed pair from me

Does this mean you're taking over the vwap franchise? If you're serious, I'd be interested, particularly if you're cutting the holes as well. Mine look like a blind monkey chewed through them

I have dyed several pairs of pads very simple I used liquid rit black dye mixed a little in hot to warm water let sit for a minute and just kept squeezing and rinsing till no more black came out.Use some kinda of rubber gloves.I never got black on my ears from them. These things soak up dye so easy it aint hard at all if they even get near the stuff they turn black quick.

. After finding some sharper tools, and a few trials, now mine looks pretty much like a factory job. I have a few left over senn pads lying around somewhere, so I might be able to make you one. But I know this isn't going to readily happen before I register a mall-fi account.

I think the yellow pads look kinda neat on the ms-1s just as they are

Right on. I've done the RIT dye/retayne technique twice and it only takes about 25 minutes of real effort.
