just 1hour back I installed v 2.4.0.
Before that I was installed and tried all firmwares and sticked to V2.1.0 which was suited to taste (interms of soundstage and bass).
But after listening to v2.4.0 below were my observations

1)best sound-stage ever before (able to listen more details for the same songs I was listened on other firmwares).
2)better bass when compared to other firmwares

Bug:
When trying to increase/decrease volume its getting low than the current when volume screen is active, after changing while switching back to default screen from volume level screen, its increasing 3 to 4 steps volume.

Please post your observations also.

  Yes, it reboot itself.
I did factory reset everytime i load a new fw. Weird this happens.

Haven't experienced this myself yet.  But of course now that I've read about it, it WILL happen!

Please try the Batch Tool. It wipes the internal memory and does a clean FW update. There are instruction included for its use.

Btw, I 've just got a samsung evo plus 128gb sdcard, better format in fat32 or exfat? Until today I had a samsung evo 64 exfat formatted, that sometimes gave me fade in problems and cut very first part of song.should I use Windows or other tool to format card? Thanks!

Ok.Formatted exfat quick with sd formatter, put inside 75 gb music, scanning time of dx90 is about 7 minutes, which is fine.still first fraction of songs when played in folder view, are truncated.

Edit.:little truncation in folder mode happens only when gapless is on.

For me it happened before on older FWs. Rarely, but I do have experienced random reboots.

Ya, old FW too. But I get the feeling 2.4 reboot the most though..

Yep, during playback.

I have been enjoying 2.4 L0 after initally preferring older FQW, and it does fix the battery indicator bug. My caveat is that since I've upgraded, I note intermittent channel cutout with different iems, isolating the issue to the DX90. While usually I would think of this as a connector issue it occurs with both line out and headphone out, and didn't occur until after the FW upgrade. Does it make any sense that the newer FW could produce this intermiitent channel cutout or is it more likely coincidence that it occurred post-upgrade? I will downgrade to 2.3L for now and see what happens but am am perplexed and any further thoughts would be appreciated.

So after using the batch tool once before running version 2.3, I had to reflash my DX90 again using the batch tool because the jump from 2.3 to 2.4 caused the DX90 to develop premature playback stops on the last song for that folder.

Why doesn't iBasso simply recommend updating the DX90 using the batch tool instead? It seems that the usual method of updating the firmware isn't a sure way to prevent old FW residues and errors. I've followed the SOP on the FW updates for several generations of the DX90 FW but have been experiencing issues as of late. So at this point I don't see much sense in going the usual method for FW updates of install, factory reset and delete update file. The question is, is there a particular reason why the method using the batch tool isn't SOP instead? I mean, could it damage the DX90 in anyway if I kept doing it?
