11 to 12 days more till Mid May.

May iBasso can give out some more leaks?
Am really curious how the size is like compared to the DX100 and AK100.

Size wise, it is really hard to compete against AK100. However that 22 ohm output impedance makes everybody think twice.

I really hope iBasso release some information soon.

Agree. The 22 ohm doesn't really bother me since my gears are significantly above that number.
Unless i go for customs or headphones with lower impedance, it shouldn't be a worry.

Only felt the way AK100 was tuned, the blackness could be "artificially induced" to give that sense of clarity. Cos something so black in background shouldn't hide the micro-details, and yet it does.

Anyway, not to go off topic, the DX50 really got me re-looking at my plans for a player.
Was aiming the HiFiman HM-901 originally but the fear of an easily worn out navi wheel is a worry. We'll see.

iBasso really need to stop teasing us. Am an emotional mess now

Remember that to avoid distortion, the headphone impedance must be at least 8 times higher than the output impedance. That means that for the AK100 to sound "right", you'll need cans with an impedance of at least 176 ohm.

Tzar 350 should do the trick. I think Wizard made this beautiful iem just for AK100 or something.

I believe he did mention he was inspired by high output impedence devices such as the AK100, yes

So we can say Wizard really liked the AK100 and its technical specs, capabilities? Wow, that would give me a nice boost for AK100.

lol, we could say that, however I believe it was more the fact higher impedance devices were available that inspired him to create something that would match nicely, rather than a particular love for the AK100. I could be wrong however.

What we can be sure of, is that Heir now appreciate the pairing enough to do a package deal for both.

Personally I love the pairing :)

I am putting money aside for Tzar 350 and a DAP too. Probably it will be AK100. Oh, student life is hard man

Hisound will release a product, they always have their own specific customers, they will not sell as much as other products but they will always have their own strong fan base simply because of the sound.
I myself will wait and see how the market takes on the DX50 and new hisound DAP, I will not experiement no more, AK100 was enough experimenting for this year for me.
