It does effect LO as much as PO. Because LO is a Preamp Out for amp15.
I am not an expert on these, but as I remember reading somewhere, it is possible to measure with a multimeter the line out, while feeding the player with a 50-60Hz sine wave and should be pretty accurate. So, it would be interesting to measure it while AMP15 is also connected to DC in supply to see if there will be more than 2V out from LO this way. Maybe some of the more experienced members here could confirm this.

You can hear the gain effects by yourself. Very obvious, no need for measurements 😆

That implies the specifications for LO voltage needs to be updated on the iBasso site for the DX340…..for 12V DC LO voltages.
Not exactly, because with each amp modules, the specs will change. For example, amp14, it will stay as disclosed of 2.0V 😆. Just not Amp15. Amp 16/17/18 will have that changes again lol

Hi guys! From what I gather it seems like the amp is not totally bypassed when you're connecting the DX340 to PB5. When connected to the PB5 do you have it as LO or PO?

Hi all, I have a 2024 mazda CX-5 and it looks like there is no way to play my dx340 through the car stereo usb input. And there is no 3.5mm line in anymore (my 2015 mazda 3 had that). When I connect the usb input the car shows unsupported usb device. Tried usb dac mode, no luck. And I can't connect through BT either.

Edited. I got BT working. Would prefer direct through usb but better than nothing.

Is it because the usbc out put from the DX340 hasn’t enough power?
Have you tried the Ibasso CB19 cable and a power bank?

Might be worth a try?
Thanks, I can give that a shot.

Mazda infotainment only accepts FAT32, not exFAT. I don't know if that has anything to do with it but I would expect that it's the DAP reading the files and playing, so why would the infotainment system care?

If playing through BT, should I have the DX340 volume at 100% and use the infotainment system to adjust volume?

Yes I would think the dap at 100 and adjust on the cars info .

You could look into a car hifi company and see if they do a interface from dap to optical or coax?

I know that the real high end car hifi use FiiO and AK daps into a separate interface then amps.

Been out of car hifi for 25+ years so things move on .

Maybe do a YouTube search?

Yes I'll look into that.
Shame on Mazda for getting rid of the line in. Makes me want to sell this car now. If I had done better research I would have picked a different car. Sorry for the rant, music is huge in the car for me and the DX340 would be absolutely stellar through a line out.

I like Mazda as a car company.
I had a Mazda 323 4x4 Rally many years ago.
Back when Mazda were in the World Rally Championship.
Gosh that was 28 years ago 🙄
